Chevelle Starter Identification
Decoding Starter Numbers
Starters have the codes stamped into the main casing along with a date code. The date code includes the year, month, and day.
For example: 7 C 25 decodes this way: 7 / C / 25
- First number indicates the year of production, 7 is for 1967.
- Second letter indicates the month of production, C is for March.
- Third and forth numbers indicate the day of production, 25 is for the 25th.
